The Step feature

The 'step' feature in the concrete step barrier is specifically designed to take the impact of wheel and suspension systems before the well-protected passenger cage strikes the barrier face. In the event of a collision, your car will be guided along the smooth face of the barrier in the direction of traffic flow, greatly reducing the danger of being hit by vehicles following you at high speed.

 

 

Greatly reduced risk of crossovers

Tests have shown that the new concrete step barrier will contain a 13 tonne bus at 45mph at an impact point of 20 degrees to the barrier.

With the introduction of the 38-hour working week, it is vitally important for any truck or coach driver to avoid congestion.
